Learning Outcomes

Leadership Adventures programs draw from experiential education, service learning and adventure education, in competency areas of leadership, cultural awareness and civic engagement, to meet the following learning outcomes:

• Increase self-awareness through the exploration of values, culture, talent and identity.
• Increase self-efficacy and readiness to succeed in college as a WSU student and as a leader.
• Enhance ability to understand and engage with diverse (cross-cultural) perspectives.
• Expand knowledge and understanding of local/global sustainability* issues.
