    Program Overview

This is s quintessential outdoor camping experience that is coupled with a world class white water adventure rafting on Idaho's Salmon River. Partnering with the well-established white water company, Salmon River Experience (SRE), this trip includes a guided rafting experience on the gorgeous river. Trip cost includes: transportation, rafting equipment and guides, all necessary group camping gear and all meals. The trip will involve traveling to the Salmon River, camping on the riverbanks and spending one full day rafting and exploring the landscape on the way back to Pullman.

Participants will learn about the local ecosystems of the Salmon River and issues that have impacted the area. Through the outdoor activities, individuals will learn and develop leadership skills. This is an opportunity for future students to ask questions about student life at Washington State University as well as learn about the many opportunities the surrounding area has to offer.

On Day one, participants will take the scenic drive 136 miles to Lucile, Idaho to cook and camp on the river's edge. Day two, SRE will host the day, guiding everyone down Class II and III rapids and serving lunch on the river. On the final day of the trip, the group will enjoy breakfast on the river, and then they will return to Pullman.
